Wow, I am not very good at keeping this blog updated this summer! I would use the excuse that I've been super busy with company, family reunions, sister Terri, etc., but everyone has "stuff" going on in their lives so blah, blah, blah!
To quickly update some things:
Cousin Larry is thankfully home now and receiving some continued therapy at home. Our last several conversations have gone very well and he is sounding like himself more and more. He gets a little frustrated that being a pyschological professor he is experiencing some of the things he taught and learned over the years, but I think the "practical application" and the "theoretical application" are somewhat different. He seems to get better every day and I know he is anxious to get back into his physical fitness program and start doing those things he has enjoyed in the past (except maybe motorcycles) Not sure how he feels about that yet. We had a conversation about how quickly we "older" folks loose our physical strength and fitness when we don't exercise regularly and how much harder it is to get it back! A sign of old age, I guess.
Sister Terri is doing great. We have some good news about her getting into a therapy program here at the University of Montana. She will be getting a full nuerological/physical evaluation and recommendations for her therapy needs will be given based on the evals. The tentative plan is to go to therapy two or three days a week and then "day school" for two or three days a week. I want to see her out and about and doing things with other people so hopefully this will get started very soon.
We took her downtown for a "farmers market" which was great. Lots of fun things to look at. She got a great big, yummy sweet roll, popcorn and a bouquet of beautiful flowers to take back with her. We had my daughter Tammy and her family with us and Terry loves the little girls. Addie sat in her lap and they had quite the conversation. I will attach some pictures.
