For my birthday this year, I was in Yorktown, VA working. I was at the Coast Guard Training Center....what a beautiful place and sooooo interesting. It was very impressive seeing on the young "Coasties" drill on the grounds in their dress blues for graduation, all the "Yes Ma'm, No Ma'ms"....
The water is such a different environment and it was wonderful to be able to walk along the beach a little and enjoy that view. The instructors I was with bought me a Coast Guard coat and hat (colors of blue & Orange) for by birthday. Very fun, very nice.
